How Jesus Taught Us To Pray

Section I - Our Father, Which Art in Heaven

You cannot receive from a God you do no know as Father. Servants get wages, but sons receive an inheritance.

Sonship is the platform of all prayer. Adoption is not a religious title-it is legal access to the Father's throne.

God is a better Father than you are. If you would not put sickness on your child, neither will He.

Prayer begins with relationship, not with requests.

Section II- Hallowed Be Thy Name

You cannot honor a name you do not know. Reverence is rooted in revelation.

The name of Jesus is your legal authority in the courtroom of heaven.

Father-relationship gives you the right to use the name. A stranger has no authority to use the family name.

Thanksgiving is the doorway into His presence. Praise opens what petition cannot.

Section III- Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done

Heaven is the standard. Earth is the assignment. Whatever is in heaven is what we are praying down.

God's kingdom reveals God's will. If it is not in heaven, it is not His will for earth.

You cannot pray for what you do not believe is God's will Prayer requires agreement.

Stop tolerating what Jesus already defeated. Sickness, lack, and torment are not in heaven-they should not be tolerated in your house.

Section IV- Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

You have not because you ask not. Asking is in act of faith.

A-S-K spells ASK. Do not complicate what Jesus made simple.

Daily bread is daily dependence. God designed your provision to come one day at a time so you would stay close.

Intercession is part of provision. Pray for the bread of others, and yours will multiply.

Section V- Forgive Us Our Debts, As We Forgive Our Debtors

Sin is not the only debt. You can be in spiritual debt without committing open sin-through agreement with lies, doubt, and the demonic.

Your forgiveness has a measuring stick-and you are holding it. What you give is what you get.

Unforgiveness is the hidden hindrance. Many prayers go unanswered not because God said no, but because we said no to someone else.

Forgiveness is not a feeling-it is a covenant act. Christ forgave us before we even said sorry.

Section VI- Lead Us Not Into Temptation

Temptation is not sin-surrender to it is. Jesus was tempted, but never bowed.

God does not lead you into temptation. Something else does. Identify the voice that has been leading you.

Do not ask for leadership if you will not submit to it. Sheep that will not follow get devoured.

The voice you obey is the shepherd you belong to.

Section VII-Deliver Us From Evil

The greatest enemy you face may be the one in the mirror. Self- deliverance is the deepest deliverance.

Deliverance is comprehensive. Sin, sickness, disease, oppression- all of it falls under evil.

Following Jesus is prevention. Deliverance is intervention. You need both.

God will deliver you from what you cannot deliver yourself from.

Section VIII- For Thine Is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory Forever. Amen

The kingdom is not a place-it is a government. Pray with the authority of a citizen, not the desperation of a beggar.

What is under His feet is under yours. You do not pray for victory-you pray from victory.

Glory belongs to God before the answer comes. Worship while you are still waiting.

Amen is not the end of the prayer-it is the seal of the prayer. So be it closes the legal case in heaven.
